San Diego Acrobatics and Gymnastics is the ONLY gym in San Diego to offer a competitive Acrobatic Gymnastics program! Our director, Megan Giesbrecht, coaches our acro recreational class, acro pre-team, and competitive acro team.
What is Acrobatic Gymnastics?
Acrobatic Gymnastics is a USA Gymnastics discipline that combines strength, flexibility, and power to create breath-taking partner skills. Athletes perform a routine choreographed to music that includes partner elements, tumbling, and dance.
Acrobatic Gymnastics includes both static holds and gravity defying dynamic elements that leave spectators on the edge of their seats.
Acrobatic Gymnastics is fun for athletes of any age, shape, size, and athletic ability. Acro is a great sport for any athlete looking to increase strength, balance, and flexibility.
Acrobatics is practiced and competed as Men’s Pairs, Women’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Women’s Groups (3) or Men’s Groups (4). Athletes progress through recreational levels (1-3) to compulsory Ievels (4-7), then to optional levels (8-elite).
We are so proud of all of our athletes who competed at this years National Championship in Providence, Rhode Island!
